MALIBU, CALIF. — Heaven’s Lettuce is launching with its flagship product: Heaven’s Lettuce Hemp Chips.
Dried not fried, the snacks are made with organically sourced hemp leaves, carrot, tomato, Himalayan pink salt, apple cider vinegar, rice koji, chickpeas, sea salt, koji spores, sesame butter, cassava flour and arrowroot flour. The chips are organic, vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO and come in original, Notso Cheese and Hot as Heck varieties. All three options contain 15 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber.
The original offering is seasoned with lemon and contains 260 calories per bag.
The Notso Cheese variety is seasoned with garlic, onion, sumac, Aleppo pepper, black pepper and paprika. Each bag contains 180 calories.
The Hot as Heck flavor is seasoned with lime, red jalapeño pepper, garlic, distilled vinegar, Aleppo pepper and paprika. Each bag contains 140 calories.
“We’re super excited to launch this new snack food created from real hemp leaves,” said Gary Avetisyan, co-founder of Heaven’s Lettuce. “This has never been done before, and we can't wait for the world to try it. Most hemp food products use oil or seeds and don't really give you the benefits of eating the actual hemp leaves. But we intend Heaven's Lettuce Hemp Chips to be the product that vindicates the hemp plant. Hemp is such a powerful source of healthy nutrients and minerals — basically a superfood — and it has received a bad rap over the years. But our team has put together the finest organic ingredients in a painstaking process that produces the perfect snack chip: hemp leaves coated in delicious, organic ingredients. Hemp is pure. Hemp is wholesome. And hemp has brought people together for decades.”
